Russian entrepreneur and investor Miroslava Duma just launched Fashion Tech Lab, a hybrid business accelerator, venture capital fund and experimental lab. The goal? Alexa Chung dates Alexa Chung in a new video

Fashion’s favorite cool girl Alexa Chung goes on a blind date with herself in a video for Vogue UK as the magazine’s June cover star. Major department stores hit with declining sales

A much-reported-on difficulty in the current retail climate continues as dropping sales were reported by Macy’s, Nordstrom, Kohl’s, Dillard’s and Hudson’s Bay in the first quarter of the fiscal year. Though sales fell short for all of the companies, Nordstrom had the most positive report from the quarter. {WWD

Elizabeth von der Goltz to become Net-a-Porter global buying director
Bergdorf Goodman senior VP and general merchandise manager Elizabeth von der Goltz is leaving her role to join Net-a-Porter as global buying director. Net-a-Porter president Alison Loehnis says the hire came about due to von der Goltz’s “exceptional eye for product” and “deep and abiding understanding of the international luxury customer.” {WWD}

Prabal Gurung will debut Resort 2018 collection at Berlin Fashion Week

In a bid to continue expansion into the European market, New York-based designer Prabal Gurung will show his Resort 2018 collection at Berlin Fashion Week this season. “Given all that is going on in our political and social landscape… it is inspiring to have a city that has overcome so much hate and intolerance come back stronger, as one of the most open-minded places,” Gurung said. {Business of Fashion}
