Today may only be the halfway mark, but Elle Fanning is already having one hell of a month: After gracing her first-ever Vogue cover in a flowery, beautiful Annie Leibovitz shoot, the younger Fanning sister has also just been tapped as the new face of L’Oréal Paris. This news come ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, where the 19-year-old actress will star in two films this year: Sofia Coppola’s “The Beguiled” and John Cameron Mitchell’s “How to Talk to Girls at Parties.” L’Oréal has served as the official beauty partner of the Cannes Film Festival for two decades.
This isn’t Fanning’s first foray into brand campaigns; she’s previously posed for Marc Jacobs, Tiffany and Miu Miu. Somewhat of a fashion darling from a young age, she is known for taking creative risks with her style and beauty choices. (Glitter tears, anyone?)
Fanning took to Instagram to announce the news with the above photo, highlighting L’Oréal’s messages of empowerment in her caption:”Thank you @lorealmakeup for welcoming me into your EMPOWERING and FABULOUS family!!! I am beyond proud to represent a company that celebrates WOMEN!!!”
