Chelsea team news: Terry leads experimental champions

John Terry will captain an experimental Chelsea team against Watford on Monday as Antonio Conte gives a rest to some of his players with an FA Cup final against Arsenal approaching.

The former England skipper has struggled for game time this season but will lead the Premier League champions out at Stamford Bridge after the club were confirmed as champions last Friday.

Michy Batshuayi starts for the first time in the Premier League after he came off the bench to score the only goal against West Brom. Nathaniel Chalobah also starts his first league game for his boyhood club, while Kenedy makes his first start under Conte. 

Nathan Ake is back in Chelsea’s side for the first time since the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham. Asmir Begovic could be playing his final game for Chelsea, as he is brought in for Thibaut Courtois, who is not included in the squad.
